What are your session fees?
Individual and recurring appointments thereafter are $155 per session.
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is $400 and includes one full year of the Balance Program to provide support and follow-up.
Does Stone Counseling accept insurance?
Stone Counseling does not accept insurance directly or bill insurance companies on your behalf. However, we are committed to making our services accessible and can provide you with the documentation you need to seek reimbursement from your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits.
Can I use my HSA or FSA for therapy sessions?
Yes! Counseling and therapy services are generally eligible expenses for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Mental health services, including psychotherapy, typically qualify as medical expenses under IRS guidelines. You can use your HSA or FSA debit card to pay for sessions, or pay out of pocket and reimburse yourself from your account using your receipt or superbill as documentation.
We recommend checking with your HSA or FSA administrator to confirm your specific plan’s coverage guidelines.
What is a superbill?
A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes all the information your insurance company needs to process a claim for out-of-network services. This document includes:
- Provider credentials and tax ID
- Diagnosis codes
- Treatment (CPT) codes
- Session dates and fees
- Your identifying information
You can submit this superbill directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement according to your plan’s out-of-network benefits.
How do I request a superbill?
Simply let us know that you’d like a superbill, and we’ll provide one for you at the end of each month or upon request. This ensures you have all the documentation needed to submit to your insurance company or for your personal records.
